We manufacture all of our products ourselves. We rely on traditional handicraft production techniques and mostly turn our pottery in the classic way on the potter's wheel. After the drying process, the pieces are biscuited in the first firing and provided with our own glazes. They are then fired again in glaze firing to achieve their final shape and durability. In the final production, each piece is carefully cleaned and checked before it is made available for sale.

We mainly use stoneware clay from the Westerwald.
Stoneware is natural clay or clay masses that sinter at high temperatures (in our case above 1200°C) to form a dense body. Stoneware is waterproof, scratch-resistant, robust and heat-resistant. This makes it perfect for everyday ceramics, such as crockery.
Yes, our ceramic products are suitable for use in the dishwasher. Ease of use and robustness are very important to us, which is why we develop our glazes ourselves and especially for this purpose.
Our ceramics have been used successfully in the catering industry for years and run through industrial-level dishwashers every day without any problems.
The term "food safe" is not directly applicable to ceramics, although it is very common.
To ensure that our ceramics are suitable for use with food, we only use glazes according to our own recipe, the harmlessness of which we have confirmed in a laboratory. Declaration of Conformity
Tip: We believe that a ceramist should be able to provide detailed information about the composition and properties of his glazes at any time.
Ceramic glaze is a layer of fused glass applied to the surface of fired clay to give it a smooth, hygienic and durable finish. Glazes are often made with heavy metals such as copper, cobalt, tin or zinc, which can be hazardous to health if used incorrectly. That's why we only use our own glazes, specially developed by us for food contact safety - and tested by independent laboratories before we use them.
Yes, because stoneware is fired densely, it cannot absorb water. This means our garden decoration can stay outside all winter.

Below are some frequently asked questions about shipping, returns and exchanges
The delivery time depends on the chosen shipping method and the destination. It usually takes 1-5 working days for orders to be delivered within Germany. Deliveries within the EU usually take 5-8 working days. International deliveries can take up to 14 business days.
Yes, as long as the order has not yet been dispatched, you can change the delivery address. In this case, please contact us by email or phone so that we can make the change for you.
A notification card will usually be left, allowing you to reschedule delivery or pick up the order at a collection point. If the order is delivered to a collection point, you usually have 14 days to collect it.
In order to avoid waste, we strive to always use packaging material that has already been used, provided it is still in good condition. We deliberately refrain from advertising inserts and flyers in the show, as these ultimately only generate additional waste and cause costs that we do not want to pass on to our customers. We prefer to focus on quality products and not on the packaging. Of course, all orders are carefully packed to ensure they are not damaged during shipping.
Basically, there are some countries that we cannot deliver to due to restrictions. However, in some cases we make exceptions. If your country is not selectable as a delivery destination, do not hesitate to write to us. We will do our best to find a solution.
On rare occasions, an item that is shown as available may actually be sold out. In this case we will contact you to find an individual solution. Possible options could be to replace the item or to cancel the order.
Yes, as long as the item has not yet been dispatched, you can cancel your order at any time. After dispatch, the usual rules and regulations of online trading apply, ie you generally have 30 days to return the order. Please note, however, that we always have an open ear for our customers outside of this period and, if in doubt, simply ask them to contact us. We will do our best to find a satisfactory solution.
